New Canoe For You

Won an online auction a month or two ago and am now the proud owner of a "new to me" Old Town Canoe (Scout). There is special significance of the brand because near Old Town, Maine (where the canoes are made) is close to where I spent a summer as an intern at Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.

The canoe is 16 ft. with woven seats. Have already had some fun with it on a trip to Briery Creek Wildlife Management Area and Lower Lake on the campus of Sweet Briar College. Hopefully, many more good trips to follow!
